Busy cafe but has ample seating for the size of the store. Really fun names for drinks. You know what? I appreciate that. I want to chuckle when ordering something. I want to order something absurd to the staff. But yeah good food, drinks and atmosphere
Amazing coffee and delicious sandwiches! We love popping in for lunch and trying a new drink. We tried a few off the new fall menu on our last visit and all were delicious. Twisted cinnamon latte is a must!
Very homely place. They have a very good collection of coffee from all over the world. The food is also simple and has that homemade feeling. Great place to grab a coffee and a bite!
I absolutely love this place. Whether you’re going for a quick coffee and a light snack or having a tasty bowl of soup and a sandwich with a friend it’s the perfect location. The staff are so friendly. I love that they bring your food and drinks to your table when they’re ready. Generally, there’s not a long wait it but it does take a few minutes to get your order. If you’re in a rush I believe you can call and order ahead for pickup!
Love me some City Roast. Cappuccinos are strong, the desserts are good and the staff are friendly. The honey cake is my fave. A close walk from my office. Glad to have this gem downtown.
Service is fast, and the food is amazing. My personal favourite is the veggie bagel with an iced caramel dream made with oat milk. Please try the carrot cake! It’s amazing! Love to come here for lunch and sit near the window to get some sun. Music isn’t too loud, perfect for a relaxing lunch or late breakfast.
A cozy spot with a relaxing atmosphere We came to this cafe for a bite and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I noticed a couple of customers ordering soup — I didn’t try it myself (not really a fan), but it made me wonder if it might be one of their specialties. I had the Turkey Havarti sandwich and really liked it — it was warm, toasted, and the cheese was deliciously melted. The mocha was also very good: foamy, flavorful, and just the right size for my taste. I went with my husband, and he had the roast beef sandwich and a mocha. His take: ”Great atmosphere, great mocha, good service, my sandwich (roast beef) however good lacked a bit of zip. Overall, we both had a nice time. I gave 5 stars for the atmosphere, drinks, and service, and 4 stars for the food — mainly because of my husband’s comment. Still, it’s definitely a place I’d happily return to and recommend!
Glad I made the stop here. Was in Red Deer for an appointment. Great selection of food (Sandwiches/Soups/Baking). Very busy at lunchtime. Got my food and drinks in a reasonable time. Got the roast beef and ham sandwich, and they were delicious. Coffee was ok, didn't have the flavor I thought it should have (Peanut Brittle and White cardamon latte). Will definitely be back.
